Realme 3 Pro launch confirmed for April 22, to compete with Redmi Note 7 Pro with price under Rs 15,000

first_imgRealme 3 Pro is launching soon. Realme India boss Madhav Sheth on Thursday tweeted that the company will launch its next “pro” phone on April 22 at an event at Delhi University. The Realme 3 Pro is likely to have a starting price under Rs 15,000 considering that it is going to compete with the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, something that Seth had hinted earlier. As for the event in Delhi University, that is likely because Realme is targeting young phone users with its products and it hopes that the Realme 3 Pro will appeal to college students and young professionals. Not much is known about the Realme 3 Pro right now, except that it has been hinted by Realme that this phone is going to focus a lot on performance. On Wednesday Sheth had posted a photo of him playing Fortnite on the Realme 3 Pro on social media. He had also said in the message that accompanied the image that “when it comes to speed, chipset matters”.And he took a pot-shot at other “pro” phones in the market, widely believed to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro. “How about playing Fortnite on Realme3Pro? I believe Realme3Pro will be the 1st in its segment that can directly support it. Tried to play this game on some latest ‘Pro’ devices but none of them could manage,” he wrote.Rumours hint that the Realme 3 Pro will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, paired with at least 3GB RAM. There is also likely to be a 4GB RAM variant of the Realme 3 Pro.advertisement The image that Sheth posted of the phone also hints that the device will sport a notched display, but this notch is likely to be the water-drop variant, similar to the notch in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro.There are no other details of the Realme 3 Pro available right now. So it is not clear what sort of cameras it will have — although it is safe to assume that it will sport dual-camera setup on the rear panel. It is also not clear if the phone will use a metal and glass design, similar to what the Note 7 Pro has, or if it will use a plastic body with a metallic finish, something that recently-launch Samsung M series phones have in this segment. The price of the Realme 3 Pro is likely to be under Rs 15,000, at least for the variant that will come with at least 3GB RAM and likely 64GB storage. The Redmi Note 7 Pro has a starting price of Rs 13,999 and we expect Realme 3 Pro to be around the same. The higher variant with more RAM and storage may cost around Rs 15,999.ALSO READ | Realme CEO compares Realme 3 Pro with Redmi Note 7 Pro, claims it is fasterALSO READ | Realme 3 Pro may get OnePlus 6T-like camera, VOOC 3.0 fast charging supportALSO READ | Realme 3 Pro to take on Redmi Note 7 Pro, company confirms April launchlast_img
